Pass the faith on

There's an incident one month ago that our eldest son did something shameful. He suddenly sent a vulgarity message to his friend and his friend forwarded it to the other groups.

Thanks God, my hubby saw the msg and did damage control. He's very disappointed to him because we never taught anything like that and he's been accompanying him to study and almost every day spending quality time with him.

As for me, this is like a sign for God that we can't control our children 100%. As parents, we only able to do what we know best for them but it's only 1%.

We don't know their heart and they may change every day. Thus Faith become the most ultimate weapon.

It's prompted me to pass the faith on the children not just the praying habit but reading the bible. They may not understand yet now, but when times come, I believe that Holy Spirit will guide their heart and mind especially when they need to make important decision in their life.

So every night, we read daily reading and either I or hubby will explain the meaning behind and how we should behave. Surprisingly, they are very enthusiastic and looking forward to it.

My ultimate purpose is so that they love and put God first in everything they do. Others will follow as long as they stay very close with God and never leave Him.
