Waiting...

The past few weeks I have been praying for 4 of my friends. The first one is a dying friend whose life is numbered, the second one is the expectant friend who's looking forward to the arrival of newborn, the third and fourth ones are friends who are looking for the job.

These four of mine are waiting. It can be daunting and frustrating but also hoping for the best.

In this lenten season, we are also waiting for 40 days to encounter God. There's always ups and downs.

The first half is very smooth, everything is going well according to what I expect. The second half is not as smooth as I thought. Temptation starts coming into my life.

Waiting is the process of purification and building good virtue and characters.

Even in the old testament, Abraham was waiting for 25 years for the child.

Israel was waiting for hundred years to be freed from Egypt.

Israel was waiting for 40 years in the desert before entering the Promised land.

Israel was waiting for years for Messiah to come.

Everyone is waiting for something good and during the process it's not as easy as we thought.

Complain, rebellion, doubt, fear, anxious are mixed up together. It's shown that we are human with lots of weaknesses and can't see what the future will be.

We only can trust the one who gives us hope and hope for the best for the outcome of waiting.
