Hail Mary Full of Grace - Prayer of Praise

The day before our cell group meeting on Saturday, I was browsing for deeper information about Mother Mary and stumbled upon a video from St Augustine Institute, Formed.

Dr Edward Sri is talking about the rosary prayer and Hail Mary Prayer and it's something new for me and changed the way I pray Hail Mary.

This is the deeper meaning of Hail Mary Prayer.

The first part of Hail Mary Prayer :
Hail Mary Full of Grace, The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women and blessed is thy fruit of your womb, Jesus

Hail Mary Full of Grace, The Lord is with you.
As most of us know that this sentence was said by Angel Gabriel during the Annunciation.
It symbolises how heaven and angels were in awe that God, the ultimate and infinite power was willing to come down to a simple virgin at the infamous and little town called Nazareth.

Blessed are you among women and blessed is thy fruit of your womb, Jesus
This was said by Elizabeth after she received a greeting from Mary and filled with the Holy Spirit.
It symbolises how the earth rejoiced and in awe that God was willing to come down to the broken and vulnerable humanity.

So both sentences in the first part of Hail Mary Prayer is where Heaven and Earth is interconnected via The Incarnation and both are in awe and praise because of God's love, He's willing to come to be one of us and with us.

The second part of Hail Mary Prayer :
Holy Mary Mother of God, please pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.

Holy Mary Mother of God, please pray for us sinners
Mother Mary has been saying yes all of her life and she's the perfect role model how to say yes to God's will and here we are humbly asking her to pray for us so that we could say yes to God's will.

Now and at the hour of our death.
The two  most important times in our life is NOW and THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH.
NOW because we don't know what will happen to us few seconds later therefore we ask Mother Mary to pray for us every moment in our life so that we repent and are able to obey God.
THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH is the critical moment where this is the last chance to say YES to God and we ask Mother Mary to be with us in the last moment of our earthly life so that we could say YES to God too.

Isn't it beautiful ?

Hail Mary Prayer is a prayer of praise and humility to bring us closer to JESUS which is the center of gravity in this prayer.
