7 last words of Jesus

When a person is in the edge of death, he/she only thinks about what's important before leaving the earth.
Jesus as fully human has last words for us which are very important messages before He departed from the earth.
These are 7 last words

Like Fr Vinay said in one of homilies, what the world is lacking is FORGIVENESS. We are born with the desire of sin and it's our weaknesses.
When we are angry, anxious, hate, those feeling comes spontaneous not premeditated means we have this original sin and every moment we are tempted from our thoughts.
Thus, we need to ask God's forgiveness every time we have failed to obey His commandments.
Even, in our father prayer, Jesus taught us about forgiveness and He, himself walk the talk just before His departure.

There's no room for condemnation when we humbly and sincere ask God's forgiveness.
God is a compassionate and merciful God, slow in anger, rich in kindness.
There's no sin that God cannot forgive if we humbly beg for His forgiveness.
Paradise means everlasting life, when we truly repent, God will give us new life, peace, joy that the world cannot give.

The word Woman has been repeated few times in the bible since the  First Creation, then Wedding in Cana and Last one in the Revelation. Woman points to Eve. Mary is the New Eve, the one who obeys God and brings new life to us.
And God entrusted Mary, as New Eve to us so that we may follow her example about the obedience to God until the end of the time.

Sin breaks the relationship. After we sin, we will be blind, deaf and paralysed. We will feel lost, our image about God will be distorted.
When Jesus takes all of our sins, He feel these feeling of alone, abandoned by God.
However, by His self giving love, He acts as a mediator between God and us so that we are saved from the everlasting death.

I thirst is not just physically thirsty but Jesus thirst for our love.
In our day to day life, we may find that our soul is so thirsty, thus we can come to the water of life and He will satisfy our soul.

The word is It is finished, it's not I am finished.
I am finished means Jesus is defeated but it is finished means He has completed His work.
He has given everything He has and redeemed our life since the past, present and future.

This is the last words of Jesus, it showed that God and Son is no longer two but one.
God and Jesus is one after He completed his mission in this world.
As He returned to Father, He sent His Holy Spirit to be with us now and forever until His second coming.
