Year End Reflection (2018)

In the beginning of advent season, I found this psalm and it seemed like an affirmation from God.
Blessed is the man/woman whose delight in the law of the Lord, who obeys the Lord and whatever they do prospers.

As I have reflected towards the end of this year, I was amazed of how God has worked through our family, our relationship as husband and wife and our journey as an individual.

In the beginning of the year, my hubby was struggling with new job. He almost gave up hope.
We quarrelled a lot because the difference in our belief. However, we still stayed firm and trusted God.

On the first quarter, things started getting better. He got the first project.
And soon towards the second quarter, he was confirmed in his new company. We were relieved and grateful.

God's blessings didn't stop there, on the third quarter when everyone in the company was pretty quiet in terms of the order, he was overwhelmed with weekly orders.
On the last quarter, he finally received the bonus for the first time after 5 years of hard works since his previous company.

Not only that, recently we just received the good news that we were successful in getting BTO which we have wanted it since last year.
We wanted to purchase a new bigger house cheaper than our current house so that we were debt free and God was kind enough to provide it for us.

As an individual, my hubby has found his passion in finance and trading. He attended the class and seemed that he had more meaningful life. He learned and enriched himself at night after the children were settled down.
I could see how he has changed to be the better person and grown wiser for the last 10 years. He's now taking more responsibility and main decision maker for family affairs.
His self esteem and confidence have grown tremendously, yet he's still humble and always depends on God. His hard works have no doubt yielding the result and become blessing for the company he has worked for, his colleagues and of course this family. Even though I was not working with him but when he shared his experiences, I felt inspired by him.

As for myself, finally I have been able to re-affirm my passion in marketing and God provided me the way to learn as beginner in the online course.
I felt alive and found the purpose in my life to maximise my gifts and talents that God has given. My goal is now becoming an inspiration for others. I will give back my talents to the society.
I humbled myself to learn and enrich and trust Him that He will open and lead the way one step at the time.

I also felt that I've grown for the past 10 years. Previously, I always had wrong perception about money. Money was a precious item that's not easy to be earned. But along the journey, God has shifted my paradigm. Since I encountered God and His love, I knew what's important in my life and money was secondary. I put my trust further in God's providence and felt contented in whatever blessings He gave. Perseverance and endurance were another attitudes that I have been shaped for. In the past, I often gave up when facing the challenges but God trained me hard in the business I have been doing as well as the fitness exercise that I have been practicing.

Those are the big main events that have happened this year beyond our comprehension.

Apart from that, I also gave thanks for our children, good health, our parents and family who are always be there to support and love us unconditionally.

Thank you Lord for what You have done to us. There's no words that I could express beside this three words.
