During this advent season, the figure of John the Babtist is prominent and we can learn two virtues from him.
1. Speaking the Truth
He has chosen the God's path and lived in the truth thus God's grace showered upon him and gave him the courage to speak the truth to the pharisies, higher priest and government and even to King Herod
2. Humility
He accepted the truth as God's messenger and knew that someone greater than him has come thus when his followers were getting smaller and Jesus followers were getting bigger, he didn't get jealous and claimed back what was his.
