Be Strong and Courageous !

This month I need to make an important decision about my storage, as the lease will end at the end of this month.

I have been praying and asking for God’s guidance. Yet sometimes it feels as if God is silent—or perhaps my own anxiety and expectations are making it hard for me to hear Him clearly.

The rent for the current unit will increase sharply, and to sustain my business, staying there is simply not possible.

My options are either to move to a different unit or relocate to a different area altogether. It’s a difficult decision because I have grown comfortable in the current location.

If I move to a new place, I will have to dismantle and rebuild the entire inventory setup, update the system, and reorganize everything. But the payment structure there is monthly, which would help my cash flow and allow me to allocate some funds toward advertising.

As I continued praying, God reminded me of two stories.

The first is when the Israelites were leaving Egypt. They could have taken a shorter route through the land of the Philistines, but God asked them to turn back and go around near the Red Sea. Then God hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that he chased after them.

From a human perspective, it looked as if the Israelites were trapped—standing between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army. They were anxious and afraid, wondering if God had led them into the desert only to die there.

But God had a plan beyond human understanding. He parted the Red Sea, creating dry land for the Israelites to cross safely. And at the same time, Pharaoh’s army was buried beneath the sea.

The second story came from our pilgrimage in Italy last year. We were at Monte Sant’Angelo, and the entire mountain was covered in thick fog. We only knew one path up and down.

I prayed for a miracle—that God would clear the fog so we could go down safely to our next destination. But the opposite happened. The fog became even thicker, and visibility was extremely low.

Yet God had another way. We were guided through a different path, and eventually we arrived safely at our next destination.

These stories remind me that even when things seem like a dead end, God may already be preparing another way.

Right now, my situation feels similar. There are no customers, which means no revenue, yet I must make a decision about moving.

Staying in the current place feels comfortable because I know it well. But comfort does not always mean it is the wisest choice.

Moving to a new place may feel uncomfortable, but perhaps it is the wiser step for the future of the business.

Tonight, I will pray one more time and ask God for confirmation before making the decision.

“Be strong and courageous,” says the Lord. 🙏
