God's speaking through movie

Last Saturday, we had this unplanned "no-bar" with moms and kiddos while daddies had a "bro's time". We watched Shazam, Superhero DC.
I just followed the group to watch this movie without knowing what the story is all about.

This is the synopsis of this movie :

We all have a superhero inside of us - it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out.
In 14 year old Billy Batson's case, all he needs to do is shout out one word to transform into the adult superhero Shazam. Still a kid at heart, Shazam reveals in the new version of himself by doing what any other teen would do - have fun while testing out his newfound powers.
But he'll need to master them quickly before the evil Dr. Sivana can get his hands on Shazam's magical abilities.
The evils are 7 deadly sins which use people who are abused, hurt and hungry for worldly matters.
In the end, Shazam wins the victory with the help of his foster family.

It may seem like just another superhero movies, but when I ponder and contemplate the message of this movie, it's more than meet the eye. It carries beautiful message and just in time for this holy week.

The messages that I received after watching this movie :

1. Everyone who has been babtised actually had this "superpower", but we may be living like the children/teens who don't know what and how to use this superpower
2. Most of the time, we abuse God's gifts for our personal interest, personal gains and don't maximise it for God's works
3. Evil is the mother of lies and he always looks for loopholes and use or take advantage of the vulnerable ones, those who have been hurt, abused, lived in darkness, hungry for power, fame, material things.
4. Even if we already realised the superpower that we have, we may not be able to fight the evil alone. We need co-warriors or other superheroes which is called community / family of God
5. In the end, we may win small victory, but evil will never stop and never give up. Thus we can't be complacent, instead we must stay closer to God.
