Day 14 - Spiritual Exercise ( 12 September 2018)

Day 14 : What are you looking for ?

Only when we are really free can we hear God's call.
Do not worry about making big decisions or changing the way we live. That may come later. Instead, simply marvel that God calls each of us specially.
We encounter God in a variety of ways : in the people around us and in the work we are doing ; in something we read and see in the world and in the inspiration of scripture and the church's liturgy.

We also find God in the holy desires brewing deep in our hearts. God gives us life, and because we are the image of God, His desires and our deepest desires are one and the same.

Reading John 1 : 35 - 39

35. The next day John was there again with two of his disciples,

36. and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said " Behold, the lamb of God."

37 The two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus

38. Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them "What are you looking for ?" They said to him, "Rabbi" where are you staying ?

39. He said to them, " Come, and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about four in the afternoon.

Reflection

God sometimes call in an unexpected ways, when I flashed back how He called me recently, it's so creative.
Through St Ignatius of Loyola the movie, He plants the curiosity in my heart to know more about the life of St Ignatius of Loyola as well as Spiritual Exercise.
Through the emptiness in my heart, that He touched me so that I may have fullness joy and love.
Through St Paul, Apostle the movie, He intrigued me how to be a humble person and love will find the way.
Honestly, I didn't know what His bigger plan for me, but I know for sure that He has been preparing and purifying my soul to be free from the worldly values that blinded my spirituality.
Even with my limitations, weaknesses, my struggles and battle within me, it completes me as who I am, as a human and sinner
