Day 13 - Reflection (4 September 2018)

Gratitude

I thank God for His protection to my husband who went for business trip on Tuesday. He has landed safely and stayed over at hotel for good night rest
I thank God that all my plans have gone well eventhough in the end I was very tired and slept early
I thank God for the quality time that I did with the kids after sending my husband off

Saint Story : St Anna Maria Taigi

What I learnt from her story, each of us called to be saint whatever our vocation is. I was curious of saint stories that has background not in religious vocation and stumbled upon Anna Marie story. She was a housewife, mother and through her humiliation, patience towards her short tempered husband and her service to her children, family and people surround her, she's able to give up her worldliness and became a saint. God looks through her heart and not by appearance or vocation.

True love and joy found

I found joy when I saw my first born son happy after his school holiday session - nerf gun combat
I felt loved when he helped me taking care of his brothers and reminded them to behave since I was alone
I felt loved and appreciated when my husband said thank you before his departure that I will take care the children until he comes back next Wednesday
I felt loved when my husband dropped me a message to inform me that he has landed safely and asked me how we were doing

Shortcomings

I was felt numb at first since I felt the burdens upon me with all three children for a week, it's difficult to find joy since the time moved very fast. But after the day has passed, slowly I recalled, reflected and how actually it went well
