Why 40 days ?
In old testament books, Moses waited for 40 days before encountering God in Mount Horeb. Elijah prayed for 40 days in Mount Sinai before encountering God in a soft voice.
40 days is the precious time when we can have intimacy with God in prayer, being purified and in the end encountering God.
Today I started my day with 8km jogging around the neighbourhood. Starting from my home sweet home, ending it just in front of the church.
This jogging reminds me our journey on earth. Our final destination is eternal home with God our Father. Some may have long journey, some may have short journey. Along the journey, there are many things that happen in us. The choice is in our hand, whether we embrace every circumstances or we take it negatively.
