Spring Cleaning

Today, I did spring cleaning.
Cleaning up my eldest's paperworks and school book while tidying up the cupboard.
During the spring cleaning, there are three items I found

1. Items seldom or never use anymore (ready to be discarded)
2. Forgotten items but it's useful now
3. Useful items but no longer needed (can be donated)

I usually did spring cleaning every 3 months, most of the time cleaning up toys as well as yearly spring cleaning for school books and paper works.

It takes courage to start because sometimes I don't know where to start. But after finishing it, I feel a sense of accomplishment and feel good.
The cupboard is now more spacious, it's nice to view it again like brand new.

It also applies in spiritual life.
Most of the time we have lots of cluttered things in our life.
With the fast pace we have, we just add in baggages now and then and in the end we feel that our life is so messy, cluttered, lost focus and purpose.

When we do "spring cleaning", we start to find out which baggages that actually can be discarded.
All those noises and distractions in our life can be thrown away.
We also find out which things that have been forgotten but it has the importance in our life for eg, family, friends
Last but not least, we also discover back our talents that we can contribute back to society. The desire that God has planted in our life to make our life is worth telling.

So, regular spring cleaning either physically or spiritually is not a bad idea at all.
